Application Engineer

Price Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Air Distribution Products for the HVAC industry is looking for new talent in our growing US office and manufacturing facility. Application Engineer (Suwanee, GA)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide application support and design guidance to customers (Representatives, engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, etc.) to ensure proper product selection, application, training, and demonstration. Also prepare quotes and submittals for customers and coordinate with Account Managers as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance for the proper application and selection of relevant products.
  • Focus efforts (internal and external) on understanding client needs and meeting expectations.
  • Provide customers with any necessary project solutions and deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and coordinate quotations and submittals to support Price representatives and field sales.
  • Make confident and competent decisions to ensure acceptable performance and assess any project risk.
  • Assist in setting and achieving strategic and financial goals for the Critical Environments business unit.
  • Work with the manufacturing and design teams to constantly improve existing and new products.
  • Provide field and in-house technical presentations, training, and support for visitors.
  • Help identify and champion new ideas, approaches, products or services that drive business results.
  • Work efficiently and creatively to meet business objectives (internal and external).
  • Set and meet high expectations for personal and organizational performance.
  • Treat others with respect, promote a positive and productive culture, and contribute to shared team goals.

The ideal candidates for this position will have:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Technologist, or Electrical Technologist or equivalent required.
  • Ideal candidate will have passed the EIT/FE exam and either have or be in the process of obtaining a PE license.
  • Preferable candidate should have three plus years of experience in the HVAC and/or healthcare field, preferably in manufacturing, product support or product development.
  • Must be self-motivated, goal oriented individual with experience supporting and/or selling HVAC airside products and systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required.

Junior Videographer
Winnipeg, MB

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1 – 2 years of videography experience
  • University or College degree with experience in video/photography and multimedia
  • Knowledge of field production techniques and standards
  • Experience in non-linear photo and video editing applications such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for compositing and motion graphics
  • Skill in visualizing and shooting concepts effectively

Responsibilities:

  • Record material for production using video camera equipment; make technical decisions regarding elements such as appropriate lighting, shooting angle and placement and type of audio equipment.
  • Brainstorm and conceptualize ideas effectively
  • Understand good lighting, composition and subject management fundamentals
  • Study scripts to become familiar with production concepts and requirements
  • Edit and assemble final visual/audio program material; ensure consistency and relevancy to production and monitor technical quality of end product
  • Select and combine the most effective shots of each scene to form a logical and smooth running story
  • Organize and string together raw footage into a continuous whole according to scripts and/or the instructions of directors and producers
  • Test all equipment to determine technical quality of recording and audio and lighting apparatus prior to operation in the field
  • Oversee the security, operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing
  • Insert appropriate sound effects, voiceover tracks and background music from a library of stock music
  • Create motion graphics to convey key ideas, including graphs, title boards, etc.
