Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer
Casa Grande, Arizona

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Engineer will interface with both manufacturing and the customer service team on resolution of customer issues, develop and administer ISO 9001 quality system, and support manufacturing initiatives to improve quality. This position works with all aspects of the manufacturing team, customer service, and directly with our sales representatives and customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and administering ISO 9001 for the facility.
  • Assisting or taking lead in direct day to day QA activities.
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with preparing monthly quality reports that show analysis of quality data and issues, providing recommendations to management.
  • Providing resolution to all customer inquiries of quality issues regarding Price product and its application. This will include some travel to customer sites along with coordinating trips by others.
  • Supporting manufacturing in troubleshooting and analyzing quality issues within the plant.
  • Leading efforts to determine the root cause of problems and work with the team to eliminate.
  • In coordination with Value Stream Managers, lead continuous improvement efforts in the plant, focusing on reducing waste and eliminating variability in the processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or mix of education and experience.
  • Advance degree in engineering or management is a plus.

Experience/Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role working within a manufacturing-based environment.
  • Demonstrated computer-based skills (must be proficient in MS Office).
  • Familiarity with ISO certification process (ISO 9001:2008 preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and contract specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact well with customers on the phone and in person is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytic skills.

Special Training:

  • ISO 9001 lead auditor training would be a plus.
  • Six Sigma or lean manufacturing training would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD technical drawing software or equivalent.

Service Overview:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for Supervising the QMS system, processes, and support for the facility. This includes managing:

  • ISO system functions such as internal audits/corrective actions.
  • resolution of customer quality issues.
  • resolution of supplier related quality issues.

Senior Designer

The Price Global Projects Group is charged with the development of system solutions for world-class, large campus-type projects from around the globe.  The group is currently working on amazing projects in California, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Kuwait. The group leverages all areas of the Price business in order to supply highly integrated solutions for mechanical systems, architectural metals and louvers, as well as custom systems which are highly project and client specific. 

The position of Senior Designer offers exciting opportunities in Global Projects to lead the design, specification, and supply of these systems. The projects vary from small-scale retail projects to large, multidisciplinary design work for huge projects to commercializing some of the solutions developed through the course of the group’s project work. We are looking for an individual who is technically inclined, energetic, productive, can provide excellent attention to detail, can handle multiple priorities in a timely fashion with a high level of accuracy, and has the ability to work independently. Communication skills are critical as the role will require interfacing with world-leading engineers, architects, and owners, as well as our commercial partners.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Finishing and designing extrusions and sheet metal would be considered an asset.
  • Presentation experience.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Service mentality with a high sense of urgency.
  • Experience with SolidEdge, AutoCAD.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Ability to travel through North America and Internationally.
