Price VRD diffusers are 24in / 600mm diameter round ceiling VAV diffusers with built-in temperature controls for VAV cooling and VAV heating. The round disc damper moves up to close and down to open, metering air flow (warm or cool) into the room in response to room temperature. The damper is mechanically positioned by a thermostat / actuator which is both a room thermostat and damper motor. Room air is positively induced over the thermostat / actuator for an accurate measurement of room temperature in both cooling and heating.
Typical Applications
The Varitherm series of diffusers provide personal temperature control by modulating the flow of supply air into a particular space. This diffuser is an excellent choice for exposed duct ceilings without a ceiling grid and can be used throughout a building as a primary VAV system. Well suited for retrofit applications, the Varitherm can easily replace traditional diffusers to provide localized control and improved occupant thermal comfort in an existing system.
