  2. What information is collected by Price and for what purpose?

Information is collected from Price website users that is not used to identify a specific individual. For example, Price collects some information each time a user comes to the Price website for performance monitoring, for usage tracking, and to improve the overall quality of the visitor’s online experience. Price collects the visitor’s IP (Internet Protocol) address (e.g., this can indicate a user’s Internet service provider and what region of the world the user is currently located in), referral data (e.g., the Internet address of the last webpage visited by the user before clicking over to the Price site), as well as browser and platform type (e.g., a Netscape browser on a Macintosh platform). Other information collected includes but is not limited to the date and time the user visited the website, the website pages visited, the length of time the user visited the website, and any content downloaded.

To provide our Services, Price may also collect personal information you provide to us. When you register for a username or use our Services in any way, we may ask you for personal information (such as your name, username, password, title, email address, address, telephone number, postal code, country, and employer information). In order to provide our Services, information our Services collect may also include product functionality, temperatures, geolocation data and the physical and environmental surroundings of the location where the products are being used, and like information. To improve the quality of our Services and to provide you with a better user experience, we may combine the information you submit with information provided by third parties.

  8. What kinds of security procedures are in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of your information?

While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we take many precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

Price has security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of your user data under our control. Price uses physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect any personally identifiable data stored on its computers. Only authorized employees have access to the information you provide us.

The network and Internet connection has been secured by our experts and is continually monitored, is protected against malware through the use of endpoint security software and is further protected against Internet attacks through the use of the corporate firewall. The servers are backed up on a regular basis to ensure that data loss is minimized as a result of computer or drive failure.

You are ultimately responsible for the security of your personal computer. Please take care when using and storing information on it. Price recommends that you do not divulge your passwords to anyone. You should log out of your browser and computer at the end of each computer session and lock your computer when it is left unattended. This ensures that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence and is especially important if several people have access to your personal computer or you are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet cafe.
